How to plan a branding and marketing strategy

branding and marketing strategy

Branding and marketing strategy – The handshakes with your customers.

Branding it’s about shouting as loud as you can! – and guess what? The melody, the rhythm and the vibration in the voice which shouts the message needs to have the right tempo, the right rhythm and the right level of sound so that isn’t disturbing.

To craft such message, it requires research and planning so that it indulges the senses of customers through personalized and predictive modelling.

1. Do your research, create new or unique branding proposition.

The research is the main point of any branding and marketing strategy. The research is the first stage of any business and it leads to the definition of culture and the level of analytics in that culture. When these two stages are defined in branding and marketing strategy, the next step is to look at semiotics in an audience.  The main question to ask is how a symbol can define the service or the product. Big brands use symbols because the message it is easier to remember.

When the symbol is defined, the next step in your branding and marketing strategy is to apply creativity and create a story which embeds the symbol with the audience. This should be crafted based on age group and buying power.

The next step in your branding and marketing strategy is to search for competitors on the World Wide Web to discover any possible competition and the level of customer engagement for brands which you think are relevant to your brand.

Once you have defined the creative strategy for your branding and marketing, it is time to place your branding proposition into a culture. Here, the patterns will dictate the colors customers like, the mood, the feeling, the approach, the quality and many other patters which you have to quantity through your branding.

2. Create witty value proposition which triggers emotion, needs, or traits.

When creating value propositions you have to understand the culture and the language. Value proposition in one country does not make sense in another, if it is not tailored to the customer behavior in which the value proposition is proposed.

Once the value proposition is defined, the personality type is important to defining your market segments and buyer mood, when it gets in contact with your branding and marketing strategy.

Once you have defined these stages, you should have a valid branding proposition with the right audience in the right segment and with the right attitude.

As example you can find attached bellow the websprint.me value proposition –

3. Define the impact of your branding marketing strategy

A good way to look at how effective can be your branding in a market niche, is to research through testing. If you just started, there isn’t much data about how your company behaved or how your brand works in the market, therefore, to build data around your brand you need testing. Testing is to define your marketing spending budget. Testing still gets your brand out there … but it’s about building the right confidence.

If you’d like us to do the testing for you in a predictive modelling, please refer to Programmatic strategy in media and marketing planning and we will help you to increase your ROI realistically.

Now, if you’d like us to work with you to deliver the right branding proposition for your business or service, it is worthwhile to get in contact with us.

Film – Visual Art Medium for your business

visual-art-medium

Film – Visual Art Medium for your business.

There might be a lot of controversy about static and motion ads, however trends are indicating that a new type of visual medium is rising and that is the short film. The need in interactivity from website designers has also pushed the trend to be incorporated into motion with information to be displayed at glance, where the display becomes the tool for such film – visual art medium.

We also see that the need to incorporate such film – visual art medium into a product release or a new brand strategy, can also increase the probability to gain exposure by addressing the ads towards the consumer via video platforms.

Video Ads

A creative way to express the feeling of your product, or the use of it, should be addressed directly to the user through your USP. A film – visual art medium would be the perfect motion to boost your brand awareness by interacting visual sensors through excitement and personification.

Personification Ads

As humans, we tend to remember things which trigger us emotion. This sort of emotion we find in most of the cases to be triggered by three states of interaction:

  • Visual emotion – is the emotion which triggers the absolute in our brain and we find ourselves to be attracted through perfection.
  • Sensual emotion – is the emotion which triggers our needs to experience things through touch and most of the times it happens to be convex shapes. A great example is to look at the design of Apple Inc. products. Ivy understood the future and he perfectly delivered through its designs.
  • Rare emotion – the most experienced emotion by the consumers which tend to experience it or rather, not experience it. It is the type of consumer which decides not to buy into any sensation because the commodity is greater than the need. This is a particular type of emotion which has been harnessed by big brands including Lego, Mattel, Compare the market and many others.

Sensational Ads

Now, to create such impact into customer’s head, the need to information-emotionalize them is critical in this era of marketers. The emotion has to be stronger, but simpler – data driven and eccentric on the particular needs, but not to informational.

If you’d like to find the balance for your product or service, please contact us and we will make sure that your product is delivered through your customer’s feelings, rather than yours.

Get your PR campaign up and running before your product release

pr campaign

PR campaign tips for developing effective releases.

Marketing can be the only tool which you need to build a brand, however no marketing is visible if the product is missing stickiness to it’s users or consumers. But how do you find the right tools to measure the impact of your product before you start spending huge amounts on your advertising campaigns?

Well, there are few tools which I am willing to share with you to help you boost your marketing and make sure that the cost to such test is zero.

First you need to write yourself a creative story about your product and this should be targeted at your perfect customer and the only one who is willing to buy your product. As from our past marketing campaigns, we’ve realized that consumers tend to follow up with products that are very personal to their particular taste, either in terms of color mood, shape or performance. Some customers buy things because they just want to have them, while others buy things to make use of it. That’s right, before you think of a product to sell, create an object of art, a product which brings the pristine over the radical and the disruptive over the ordinary.

A product should have three levels of attachment before you make any attempts to start a PR campaign. These levels are :

  • Engagement. This is the only way your product can reach your customers. We, as humans engage with products in different ways and we all differ how we precept things, however we all experience emotion through color and personification.
  • Reaction. The second stage through which we attach to things is the reaction of these products and we usually measure this in terms of simplicity. As for any human being it is easier to remember something that is simple rather than complex.
  • Commitment. If the first two levels are successful commitment is the synergy between them. It is the reminder in our heads that says it satisfied our needs.

Now, the cost of a marketing campaign can be significantly expensive, however, best way to achieve an effective PR campaign is to network first with bloggers and reporters. A reporter it is always interested in making connections with entrepreneurs and have good stories to tell at their fingertips.

Other way is to look online for news distribution agencies, like PRLOG, a free press release distribution service. If your budget is little, you can use PRNEWSWIRE and distribute a PR with as little as £350.
However, if you’d like us to create a PR campaign that is crafted unique for your particular business goal and which will drive your business to increased revenue it is worthwhile to contact us before anyone else.

Marketing Analysis – How to gain sales momentum

After I ran a  marketing campaign for one of my clients, I decided that this is a good story to tell and a very valuable lesson to teach new business owners because it shows clearly how can one decision create such an impact either good or bad, that it can affect your sales in the post operation moments.

We all know, that business it’s all about gaining momentum and if you don’t know how momentum can kick your business, I recommend you to read more about stock markets and shares. The market behaves like a heart, it has ups and downs pulses and it is affected by the way in which we decide an action, or a set of actions.

Marketing Analysis – How to predict and act swiftly

marketing-analysis

We are looking at this particular project because it’s a website which sells one product in a marketing campaign which runs over a month, from initial visits of 30 per day and it is easier to understand how it works.

Based on a mix marketing strategy combining graphic ads, text ads and organic optimized pages, the product sales are marked in orange lines, and in the particular the day that the sale happened. All going good from our point of view, until the owner decides to change the prices on an on-going campaign, neglecting the change of ads and texts which ran alongside this campaign. This decision is marked with the red line in our marketing analysis graphic. Since this decision has been made, high volume of traffic has resulted that day and the days after, but no sales since.

As we can see from the marketing analysis, the sales had gained momentum up to where the decision was made and then a sudden drop from sales and visitors, gradually going down.

This change has dictated the crisis for this product, because the customers expected the same price, came back again, seen it different and than never came back, as you can see from the loss of traffic in the marketing analysis, after the decision has been made.

How to drive momentum?

It’s not rocket science to understand that you’re only walking a certain distance based on the energy that you have. If you are exhausted, you tend to move slower and in pain. Sudden changes in prices can dictate crisis, because we are based to buy things, at certain prices. If the prices go up and down to quick, this might dictate that the market for the product is not stable. To create stability in such instance, an in depth marketing analysis has to be done, to intercept any changes in prices for a period in advance.

I recommend that you either start from a small price going slowly upwards, or to start from a high price going slowly downwards, but never change the price to quick and too often within short periods of time.

You can change the price in short periods of time, if you dictate that change, under a special offer, but not as a general price.

I hope that this was useful marketing analysis to you and if you would like more help please do not hesitate to contact us.

How to drive brand awareness through intelligent use of marketing

Let’s look a bit at how other companies drive brand awareness through intelligent use of marketing and market themselves higher compared to other competitors because they really understand how to touch people on emotion.
Now we are going to understand how to create our own methodology or strategy to get that brand awareness out in the market.

A recent marketing campaign of a well known brand has started a campaign which inspired others to share a drink with some others. The public found it really interesting because they could find a reference in their friends which generated great interest. What the public doesn’t know what is to come will change how the perceive the brand of Coca Cola.

‘Share a coke with someone’ is pre-marketing campaign for the spilt-bottled coke which you are meant to share with someone, or if you cannot drink it all, you can save it for later.

How did Coke took on emotion to build a strong awareness of their product?

  • ‘Life is sharing’ and as humans being, we love caring while sharing with someone all of our life
  • We pride ourselves in great links with our friends and we become emphatic to them which mean that everything that happens to them we also feel this in us.
  • Using common names, we all find a reference in our friends and while this is happening it’s great to see your friend’s name inscribed on a bottle label
  • Using technology to create a viral brand resolution, it certainly succeeded.
websprint.me

websprint.me

Now, that we know at least few things on their strategy, it would be great to drive brand awareness through intelligent use of marketing and increase our sales.

What do I need to create such awareness that Coke did?

  • A great story about sharing
  • A full list of friends names
  • A facebook account
  • A camera phone

and than you can start to drive brand awareness through intelligent use of marketing.

An intelligent Advertising and Marketing Companies perspective

advertising and marketing companies

How Advertising and Marketing companies changed in the market?

There are periods in market when it is volatile and while this volatility occurs, advertising and marketing companies spread messages which promote their product and services to world wide customers. Therefore advertising and marketing companies create campaigns and place advertising and marketing messages in the media, at a factor which in known to be the competitive factor between companies.

If we look close at the market and how this evolved from ’80 to our present day, a period of almost 30 years in the advertising and marketing, we see that companies that service the media sector has undergone long lengths of changes and most of the changes are closed linked with technology, deregulation and globalization, while customers have demanded better advertisements, more inspiring advertising campaigns and clearer marketing and advertising messages.

We see that technology played a big role in shifting the marketing and advertising companies into embedding their messages more within technology such as emails, maps, applications and many more.

Does Marketing and Advertising companies interconnect each other?

If we check their availability, advertising and marketing companies have both gone long lengths to extended their combo services they offer. outgoing from the longstanding trade follow of positioning themselves as “full-service” suppliers of marketing and advertising. Over time agencies bit by bit became additional willing to supply purchasers with a limited range of services so now it’s commonplace for an advertiser to employ one agency for artistic services and another for media services.

It’s only me who thinks this, of course a whole array of analysis has been devoted to this in hope to create a much sustainable market. Here is a much wordy perspective from Harvard Business School :

“But while these practices helped stabilize the advertising and marketing business, they also effectively prevented advertisers from establishing in-house agencies or otherwise buying area and time directly from media suppliers. At an equivalent time, these practices restricted price war among agencies, and facilitated bundling by independent full-service agencies. Not astonishingly, the recognition system and particularly media-based compensation became the subject of a contentious discussion between advertisers on the one hand, and agencies and publishers on the other; this disceptation recurred sporadically for several decades.

Of course we can go further and discus this topic in more detail, however our main argument is that whatever whenever advertising and marketing companies collide, their release is an abundance of  creativity and new perspectives for inspiration, many of them not actually working in business environments, however they work well on a social scale and yes they interconnect to a point where there are sustained and regulated for price competitiveness and availability.

How to AD Design for Multi Screen

First you need to think of an audience for your AD Design for Multi Screen. Obviously this is very important to consider before you start your design process, which will encourage you to think forward towards the way you layout your Ad and the way you use colors.

A step before you make any AD design you have toconsider your layout : this includes the paper size you want to use, the margins you have to leave for the cutter if its going to be printed. If you think that your AD will remain in the On-line medium, than you should consider the sizes of screes, if it is for mobiles, tables or desktop.

Let’s start with an On-Line campaign which we’ve done. For this AD design we have considered to advertise on Linkedin and Facebook and on this scenario have been used two different sizes for the ADs design.

For layout we have used Inkscape, which is an open source graphics program. For colors we have used Adobe Kuller which we have emphasized in the design.

Please find bellow the AD design we have produced.
